Police spokesperson updates on Walmart shooting

A 16-year-old boy has been identified as one of the victims of the mass shooting at the Chesapeake Walmart store.

Fernando Chavez Jr. and five others were fatally shot and at least four others were wounded when gunman Andre Bing opened fire at the department store on Tuesday.

A chilling “manifest” has been found on the gunman’s cell phone, in which he lays out his motive for the mass shooting in Virginia before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Witnesses have described how the horrific events unfolded in the employee break room as investigators tried to piece together a motive.

A law enforcement source told local media that Bing was “upset” about a recent job change and complained that he was being “bullied” by fellow employees.

A former colleague also said he was confused about the government watching him and didn’t want to be recorded. One witness said he saw him target certain people during the attack.

President Joe Biden said yesterday that the shooting, as well as the massacre at an LGBT+ club in Colorado Springs over the weekend, underscore the need to ban “sick” assault weapons that have no social value.


The ‘expression’ on the gunman’s phone reveals a possible motive

A “manifesto” was found on Walmart gunman Andre Bing’s cell phone that allegedly laid out his motive for the mass shooting that killed six employees and wounded at least four others.

Officials have not confirmed the existence of the manifesto and the motive for Tuesday night’s massacre had not yet been revealed.

Were there warning signs of the Walmart shooting?

A Walmart employee has claimed that the employee who allegedly carried out the horrific mass shooting at the store in Chesapeake, Virginia had “issues” with some of their other co-workers and was “laughing” when he shot the victims.

The gunman, who has since been identified as Andre Bing, opened fire with a pistol before turning the gun on himself, police said.

An unnamed witness told local network 10 On Your Side that 14 employees were sitting in a meeting room preparing to leave for their shift when the shooting happened.

Family and friends remember the 16-year-old victim

16-year-old Fernando Chavez Jr. was among six people fatally shot and killed inside a Walmart department store in Chesapeake, Virginia, on Tuesday night.

More than a hundred friends and family of the teenager gathered at Sam’s Circle Walmart yesterday to remember him.

“Fernando was a very nice kid, he would say hello to anybody,” said Joshua Trejo, his friend since middle school. The Virginian pilot.

The gunman’s motive behind the mass shooting is still unclear

Police in Chesapeake, Virginia, said they spent Thanksgiving trying to figure out why Walmart supervisor Andre Bing fatally shot six of his co-workers before turning the gun on himself.

One of the dead has been identified as a 16-year-old

Hundreds of people attended a vigil to pay their respects to a 16-year-old who was killed in a Walmart shooting in Chesapeake, Virginia, who was identified by authorities.

Fernando Chavez Jr., known to family and friends as Fernando Jesus Chavez, was killed Tuesday along with five other victims.

Sam’s circle gathered at Walmart on Thursday to pay tribute to the teenager, who family and friends described as “humble and smart.”
