Qatar World Cup Opening Ceremony: Watch, live stream Korean pop star Jung Kook of BTS perform, show start time

It’s finally World Cup time. The biggest tournament in football is about to begin Qatar hosting FIFA World Cup Sunday 20 November. But before Qatar and Ecuador Take the pitch and start the opening ceremonies. Not only will they showcase the best of the 32 countries participating in the tournament, but the opening ceremony will also have musical performances, including an appearance by BTS member Jungkook. The popular boyband have confirmed that their member will be among the performers at the opening ceremony and will also be featured on the soundtrack.

Originally scheduled to begin on November 21, the opening ceremony was moved a day earlier so hosts Qatar could kick off the tournament, as is customary in the home nation, but a planned fireworks display required the ceremony to be held at night. Not only will this be the first Winter World Cup, but history will be made as Jungkook will also become the first Korean to perform in the opening ceremony of the World Cup.

Jungkook will perform the World Cup song “Dreamers” along with Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi.

Who else is starring?

Qatari singer Fahad Al-Kubaisi will also attend the opening ceremony. He is also a producer, model and human rights activist, and event organizers champion a message of inclusion and encouraging conversation about diversity. However, after FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s speech on SaturdayThat may be easier said than done.

“Today I feel Qatari, I feel Arab, I feel African, I feel gay, I feel disabled, I feel a migrant worker. We have been taught many lessons by Europeans and the Western world. I am European. 3,000 years of what we have done in the world By doing so, we must apologize for the next 3,000 years before imparting moral lessons,” Infantino said. “If Europe really cares about the fate of these people, they can create legal channels, like Qatar did, where many of these workers can come to work in Europe. Atlanta rapper Lil Baby has confirmed via Twitter that he will be performing at the World Cup, but many Opening Ceremony performers will be surprised. Lil Baby won a Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance in 2022 for his feature on Hurricane by Kanye West and has been honored with an XXL Award, BET Awards and others. Since the opening ceremony performance is usually 30 minutes or longer, there will be other people joining the Sat Kriya program.

Rejections and other performance rumors

According to reports, Shakira, who was the main player in the previous World Cup tournaments, was supposed to perform, but has decided not to participate in the opening ceremony. Her song Waka Waka has remained in our memory since the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Dua Lipa was also rumored to be involved, but she released a statement on Instagram.

“There is currently a lot of speculation that I will be performing at the opening ceremony of the World Cup in Qatar. I am not performing and have not been in any talks to perform,” Dua Lipa said of the show. “I will rejoice England I look forward to visiting Qatar from afar when it has fulfilled all the human rights pledges it made when it won the World Cup.”
